PageRank

At least they got part of the name right. It's down right Rank. Some dweeb computer nerd comes up with a formula, becomes a billionaire and we all have to follow his formula. It's not E=MC2. It's some algorithm that only a few people know, they change the dam thing every few months. We all sit and wait for a little green bar on our Toolbars to change to a few more pixels and increase one number. Yippee!! SEO people need a life.

Page Rank is calculated a daily basis, but we are only allowed to see it whenever the gods of G decide to let us view it. This is about every 3-6 months or longer. Why have the thing if we can't view a true value in a timelier manner.

What business model genius came up with this idea? We know the answer and the owners are billionaires, so I guess that answers that. Unfortunate as it is. Maybe the other search engines will do a better job and remove the Page Rank popularity once an for all.

Every SEO I have seen write about Page Rank contradicts some other SEO's theory of Page Rank.

Why is that?

 

• Because PR is Stupid or the SEO is Stupid, you make the call.

 

Why is Page Rank important?

• Because you SEO's made it important that's why. Can't you see that, you are playing into the MAN.
